Boavista Golf Resort

Luxurious holiday resort

Boavista Golf Resort is a luxurious holiday resort on the Western Algarve, 50 minutes drive from Faro International Airport and just west of the historic town of Lagos. The resort boasts an 18-hole golf course, designed by Howard Swan MSc, past president of The European Institute of Golf Course Architects. Harmonising with the area’s natural terrain Boavista offers a tranquil setting with fabulous sea views.

The resort facilities include a golf academy, driving range and golf clubhouse where a restaurant and bar serve a range of traditional Portuguese and European cuisine. Holiday recreational facilities include the children’s play area, tennis courts, football pitches and heated swimming pools. Boavista is only five minutes east of the family beach of Praia da Luz, and five minutes west of several of the beautiful beaches in the Lagos area.

Stunning Golf Views

Accommodation is of a very high standard. Most properties have stunning golf views, from village golf apartments with shared facilities, to private detached villas with their own pools. Fairviews Village is set between the 1st and 2nd Holes of the golf course. The Village has its own private heated outdoor swimming pool and separate babies’ pool. Sun terracing onto well landscaped gardens provides the finishing touch.

4. Vale do Lobo

Ocean Course - designed by Sir Henry Cotton 30 years ago and boasting the famous 7th hole along the spectacular cliff tops. Royal Course added in 1997.

5. Vilamoura

The Old Course - built in 1969 to a design by Frank Pennink; refurbished in 1997. Very classic English style. Pinhal - pine tree lined fairways and occasional glimpses of the sea. Laguna - fairly flat incorporating water hazards. Three 9-hole loops provide a variety of combinations.

6. Vila Sol

Designed by Donald Steel and opened in 1991, it hosted the Portuguese Open for the next 2 years. In 1996 awarded a Green Flag by the European Golf Association’s Ecology Unit for its high standard of environmental management.
